Background

Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River provides a full range of inpatient services and is the region's only hospital to offer open heart surgery and elective coronary angioplasty. Charlton also treats heart rhythm services through its advanced electrophysiology lab.

Charlton features advanced surgical capabilities, including the da Vinci surgical robot for both urological and gynecological procedures, as well as orthopedic and general surgery.

Charlton is a leader in women's health, offering Fall River's only maternity service. Patients have access to sophisticated diagnostic testing, including CT (Computerized Tomography) scanning, MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) and nuclear cardiology.

In addition to inpatient services, Charlton provides a comprehensive mix of rehabilitative services and outpatient therapies, including the Southcoast Wound Care Center, which features hyperbaric oxygen therapy and a dedicated onpatient rehabilitation unit — Southeast Rehab.

Charlton Memorial Hospital has provided continuous service to the community since 1885.

We are a hospital with a strong volunteering team.
